In the AI era, HR is redesigning work — and redefining its own capabilities. A ~100-page playbook: from task breakdown to workflow redesign, a methodology you can actually put to work.
Anthropic positions Claude Fable 5.1 for hours-long, multi-application, and unattended managed-agent work. The model can plan, use tools, recover from failures, and continue with relatively little supervision. Work can therefore shift from humans continuously “sitting with AI” toward defining a task, letting AI work asynchronously, and returning to review the result.
This changes time management, task queues, manager allocation, and workforce capacity. Teams may eventually manage both Human Work Hours and AI Work Hours, with explicit priorities, review checkpoints, and escalation mechanisms.
HRAI Forward calls this Asynchronous AI Work. The management question shifts from “How do we use AI?” to “What work should we queue for AI to continue executing?”
